The crash happened at the intersection of Park Boulevard and 83rd Street North in Pinellas County.
SEMINOLE, Fla. — One man is dead and a woman is hospitalized after two cars crashed in Pinellas County around 2:15 p.m. Sunday, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
According to FHP troopers, a 49-year-old Seminole woman in an Acura SUV was driving east on Park Boulevard while a 40-year-old St. Petersburg man driving a Kia sedan was heading west on the same street.
At the intersection of 83rd Street North, the Seminole woman turned left into the path of the St. Pete man’s car and they collided, FHP said. This resulted in his Kia sedan being redirected into a parked car in a nearby driveway.
Both drivers were injured during the collision and were taken to nearby hospitals.
On Monday morning, FHP confirmed the St. Pete man died from his injuries.
According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, so far in 2026, Pinellas County has had 10,130 crashes, resulting in 6,257 injuries and 48 deaths.
