The Key Art Show returns to Key Biscayne this December, and local artists have until Oct. 20 to apply for a spot in the community exhibition benefiting the Key Biscayne Woman’s Club.

The show will take place from 6-10 p.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Village Hall, 88 W. McIntyre St., during Miami Art Week. Admission is free and open to the public.

The event combines a showcase for local artists with fundraising for the Woman’s Club, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. Founded in 1951, the club supports college scholarships for graduating high school seniors who live full time on Key Biscayne or whose parents work full time on the island.

Last year, the club revived a community art show tradition that had been dormant for years. This year’s exhibition continues that effort, bringing local artwork to Village Hall while supporting students with ties to the island.

The Village of Key Biscayne, the Key Biscayne Art Collective and the Key Biscayne Woman’s Club are sponsoring the event.

Artists interested in participating must apply online and submit details and photographs of their artwork. Applications close Oct. 20, and selected artists will be notified Oct. 30. Spaces are limited.

The call for artists offers an opportunity to exhibit work, meet other local artists and contribute to the club’s fundraising efforts.

Artists can access the application through this link.
