PENSACOLA, Fla. — Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida are closed through Thursday.

Most of the UWF campus has power restored. There’s no structural damage to buildings and residence halls.

But there’s still storm debris that needs to be cleared from campus roads, parking lots and pedestrian walkways for safety.

“The University is working to solidify a timeline for a return to campus,” UWF says. “Residential students should closely monitor their email for official announcements from the University and from Housing and Residence Life, as information about returning to your residence halls will be coming soon.”

PSC says all of its campus locations received “extensive damage.” All classes, special events, dedications, campus activities, and online classes are cancelled.

“All PSC employees, with the exception of the Milton campus, report to their respective locations on Friday, Oct. 16,” PSC said. “Milton campus employees will report to the Pensacola campus on Friday.”

Classes at PSC are expected to return Oct. 19.

“Fall B session final exams will be held on Monday, Oct. 19, and Tuesday, Oct. 20,” PSC said. “D session classes will start on Monday, Oct. 19.”

Updates will be shared on all PSC social media platforms, on the College website at PensacolaState.edu, and PSC Alert at PensacolaState.edu/PSCAlert.
