Largest Display of Student Artwork Open to the Public

The School District of Lee County is excited to once again present the largest public display of student artwork in the state of Florida. The 2026 Designs and Dreams of Young Artists show will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and will showcase more than 600 pieces of art from students in elementary, middle, and high school.

“Designs and Dreams is an outstanding display of the Lee County student artists and art educators,” said Assistant Director for Arts, Athletics, and Activities Dr. Jason Thomashefsky. “Arts education is the key to helping students find their own inner source of creativity, mindfulness, and happiness.”

The exhibit is an open house for students, parents, employees, families, and the public to enjoy artwork created by students. The hallways of the Lee County Public Education Center at 2855 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers will be open from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on October 13th.

The Designs and Dreams of Young Artists was created by former Superintendent Dr. James A. Adams in 1992. Every year, it continues to be the largest single display of student artwork in Florida.
