Gordon Ramsay is opening another Miami restaurant — and this one was built for the city.
Lucky Cat Steak, a brand-new Asian-inspired steakhouse concept from Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, opens November 25 at 119 Washington Ave. in South of Fifth, taking over the space that was home to Lucky Cat Miami.
The steak program is the headline: USDA Prime, Texas Akaushi, A5 Miyazaki and Australian Blackmore Wagyu, all finished over an open-flame robata grill. Around it, the menu moves through sushi and sashimi — wagyu maki, scallop sashimi, tuna and jalapeño crispy rice — plus Japanese and Korean-inspired dishes with a Miami point of view: snapper ceviche, wagyu gyoza, black cod croquettes, wagyu bulgogi tacos, and the ‘GFP,’ a Miami reimagining of Gordon’s famous fried chicken made with prawns. Korean-inspired sides include freshly rolled kimbap, yukhoe and crispy tofu bibimbap.
What to drink
The bar keeps the same energy. The Lucky Negroni puts the drink in your hands — roll the dice across six gins, six bitters and six vermouths to build a one-of-a-kind serve. The Okinawa margarita gets a Miami twist with kumquat, Thai basil and salted shiso air, and the spicy passion and mango margarita turns up the heat.
The 152-seat room is moody and high-energy, built for long dinners and late nights, with a dedicated late-night lounge. “Opening Lucky Cat in 2024 showed me that this city doesn’t always want a concept designed somewhere else — it deserves a restaurant created specifically for Miami,” Ramsay said. “And this time, we’re bringing the steak.”
Lucky Cat Steak serves dinner Wednesday through Saturday. Reservations open November 25 via OpenTable and Resy. More at luckycatsteak.com and @LuckyCatMiami on Instagram.
