INDIAN SHORES, Fla. — It could soon be easier to complete beach renourishment projects at Indian Shores.
Homeowners used to have to permanently sign over public access to the beach in front of their home.
But now a new ordinance says they will only need to give temporary access to their property for work to be done on the beaches.
Town Councilor Mark Housman says this new ordinance will protect Indian Shores so people can continue to enjoy it for generations.
Representatives from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers will host a meeting next month to answer any questions residents may have about the changes.
The meeting is happening Monday, Nov. 1 at the Indian Shores Municipal Center.
