6️⃣ things to do in Orlando this weekend: Pride, Hamilton and spooky scares (Oct. 15-18)

  • October 15, 2026

ORLANDO, Fla. – Need a weekend plan? We pulled together a guide to six big events happening in and around Orlando from Thursday, Oct. 15, through Sunday, Oct. 18 — including Pride celebrations downtown, a free haunted house, Broadway’s “Hamilton,” and family-friendly theater.

Orlando City vs. D.C. United — “Pride in Our City”

A Saturday night match with a Pride-themed celebration inside the stadium. Orlando City’s theme for the night is “Pride in Our City,” coinciding with Orlando’s Pride celebrations, with in-stadium recognitions and inclusive programming focused on unity. If you’re already spending Saturday at Lake Eola, it’s an easy way to carry the Pride energy into the evening.

📍Inter&Co Stadium, Orlando

📅 Saturday, Oct. 17, 7:30 p.m. ET

🎟️Check Orlando City SC’s website for ticket options

Night Creepers Presents the 9th annual haunted house: The Village Reformatory

A free haunted house experience in Baldwin Park. This year’s theme is “The Village Reformatory,” turning a creepy institution setting into a walkthrough scare experience. Organizers note the haunt is PG-13 after 7 p.m. but there’s also a 6-7 p.m. behind-the-scenes window without scare actors, which is a smart option if you want a lights-on look at how the haunt is built.

📍 5366 Shea St., Unit 104, Orlando (Baldwin Park)

📅When:

Friday-Saturday, Oct. 16-17, 7-11 p.m.

Behind-the-scenes tours: 6-7 p.m. (no scare actors)

🎟️ Free admission (donations appreciated)

🅿️Parking is available on-street around the venue location in the Baldwin Park neighborhood of Orlando

Hamilton (final weekend)

It’s the last weekend to catch the touring production in Orlando, a full Broadway night out with a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway while telling the story of Alexander Hamilton. The show runs 2 hours, 45 minutes and is recommended for ages 10+, so plan ahead for the time commitment.

📍 Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Orlando

📅When:

Friday: 7:30 p.m.

Saturday: 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Sunday: 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

🎟️Tickets are available through Dr. Phillips Center’s website.

Come Out With Pride Orlando: festival and parade at Lake Eola

A full-day Pride celebration in the heart of downtown Orlando, capped by The Most Colorful Parade. Expect an all-ages community event with two entertainment stages, a marketplace and SponsorWalk, a Family and Youth Zone, Trans Pride programming, and activities throughout the day — plus a fireworks finale to wrap the night. The parade route runs through downtown streets, so plan for detours and parking.

📍Lake Eola Park, downtown Orlando

📅Saturday, Oct. 17

Festival: Noon-10 p.m.

Parade: 4-6 p.m.

If you want a quiet break from the crowds, the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive is a one-way scenic route where you can see and photograph a wide variety of birds and wildlife without leaving your vehicle. 📅Open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and federal holidays. Entrance gate opens 7 a.m. and closes 3 p.m. Vehicles must exit by 5 p.m.

📍2803 Lust Road, Apopka, FL 32703

With two showtimes each day, it’s an easy add-on to a busy weekend schedule.
