The new Cali service gives JetBlue four destinations in Colombia as the airline expands its South Florida schedule.
JetBlue is now flying nonstop from Fort Lauderdale to Cali, adding a daily connection between South Florida and the Colombian city known as the “Salsa Capital of the World.” The first flight launched Oct. 15, extending the airline’s Colombia expansion just two weeks after its arrival in Barranquilla.
If you’re planning a trip to southwestern Colombia, the new route gives you a nonstop option into Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport. It also gives travelers departing Cali another way to reach South Florida, with onward connections available through JetBlue’s Fort Lauderdale network.
A Fourth Destination in Colombia
Cali joins Cartagena, Medellín and Barranquilla in JetBlue’s Colombian network. The addition follows the airline’s launch of daily Fort Lauderdale–Barranquilla service on Oct. 1, bringing two new Colombian destinations into its schedule this month.
The two routes serve different parts of the country. Barranquilla sits along Colombia’s Caribbean coast, while Cali is a commercial and cultural center in the southwest, with a travel identity closely tied to music and dance.
Together, the additions give South Florida travelers more choices for reaching Colombia without a connection. JetBlue says Latin America and the Caribbean account for approximately one-third of its overall capacity, underscoring the region’s substantial place in the airline’s network.
The Daily Flight Schedule
The southbound flight departs Fort Lauderdale at 10:05 a.m. and arrives in Cali at 12:52 p.m. The return leaves Cali at 2:10 p.m., reaching Fort Lauderdale at 7 p.m., with all times local and schedules subject to change.
That puts your arrival in Cali in the early afternoon. On the return, the published schedule brings you back to South Florida in the evening; if you’re continuing to another city, check the available connection times before booking.
JetBlue will operate the route with Airbus A320 aircraft. Its Main cabin experience includes complimentary snacks and drinks, seatback entertainment and free high-speed Fly-Fi, subject to coverage and availability.
Why Cali
Salsa is a central part of Cali’s appeal, giving the city a distinct reason to visit beyond its role as a business destination. Music and dance are integral to its cultural identity, making the new flight an option for travelers planning a city trip centered on Colombian culture.
The route is also aimed at customers visiting friends and relatives and those traveling for business. Daily service gives those travelers a choice of departure dates throughout the week, with a consistent published schedule in both directions.
JetBlue said the addition reflects customer demand and its continued focus on Colombia. The airline is positioning Fort Lauderdale as both a destination for Colombian travelers and a connection point for trips farther across its network.
A Larger Fort Lauderdale Schedule
The Cali launch is part of a much broader expansion in Fort Lauderdale, JetBlue’s first destination and a major focus city. The airline says it now offers more flights and nonstop destinations from the airport than any other carrier.
Since December 2025, JetBlue has added 12 nonstop destinations from Fort Lauderdale. Daily departures have increased by more than 75 percent compared with the same period last year, according to the airline, following a July expansion that introduced eight destinations in a single week.
More additions are scheduled for November, including service to Columbus, Indianapolis and San Diego. During peak winter travel periods, JetBlue expects to operate more than 150 daily departures from Fort Lauderdale — its largest schedule ever at the airport.
The immediate addition is Cali: a new daily nonstop that extends JetBlue’s Colombian reach and gives South Florida travelers another city to put on their itinerary.
