Two South Florida teens are facing charges in the attempted burglary of multiple cars in Miami Beach and the theft of a G-Wagon they later crashed in Hollywood, authorities said.

The teens, ages 14 and 16, are facing multiple charges including grand theft and burglary, arrest reports said.

According to Miami Beach Police, the attempted car burglaries happened around 1 p.m. Wednesday near the 3400 block of Chase Avenue.

Home surveillance footage showed three masked suspects exiting a red Tesla sedan and attempting to enter several vehicles parked in a home’s driveway.

The vehicles, including a Mercedes Benz Maybach, were locked, so they couldn’t get in.

A few hours later, the teens were able to successfully steal the bronze 2027 Mercedes G-Wagon from a home on Southwest 136th Street in the Kendall area, the reports said.

According to the reports, the owner contacted Mercedes and was able to get live tracking of the $260,000 vehicle as it made its way up the Florida’s Turnpike into Broward.

The G-Wagon eventually crashed in the area of North Park Road and Sheridan Street in Hollywood, and the teens were taken into custody after bailing out.

Video from Only In Dade showed the G-Wagon driving down the road with several Hollywood Police units following close behind. As it approaches a red light, where there are several cars stopped in traffic, the driver is seen trying to squeeze between those vehicles, hitting them along the way.

Inside the SUV were a mother and her two children. NBC6’s Briana Nespral reports.

Another angle shows the G-Wagon come to rest on top of a blue SUV, occupied by a mother and her two children.

The woman told NBC6 that it all happened in a matter of seconds. She said she was trying to turn on North Park Road when the G-Wagon suddenly crashed into them. The family did not suffer any injuries.

According to arrest reports, the 14-year-old, who is from Fort Lauderdale, gave a full confession to detectives.

The 16-year-old, who is from Sunrise, was identified by the G-Wagon’s owner as the suspect who stole the vehicle, the reports said.

The owner of the G-Wagon told NBC6 he was waiting to seen when they can recover his wife’s purse and other belongings that were inside.
