Candy is hard to “Reese-ist” on Halloween.
Reese’s Halloween Council analyzed thousands of neighborhoods to find the streets that go all out for Halloween.
The group of Halloween Queens took decorations, Halloween spirit, social buzz, trick-or-treater traffic and Reese’s into account to crown the Trick-or-Treatiest Street in America.
Florida is well represented in the Southeast region, and a South Tampa neighborhood got a shout-out.
S Rome Avenue received a haul score of 88.7 and a haunt score of 89.8 from Reese’s Halloween Council.
“Historic South Tampa charm turns downright ghost-ly on Rome Ave.,” the ranking description said. “Lined with towering oaks and grand homes, it’s a premier trick-or-treating corridor. Proving even the Sunshine State gets a little dark and spooky in Tampa.”
Four other neighborhoods in the Sunshine State were recognized.
The Halloween Council wrote that Celebration Avenue in Celebration, outside Walt Disney World, makes “every candy stop feel carefully staged, as though someone added trick-or-treating to the happiest place on the neighborhood map.”
New Broad Street in Orlando is a Halloween favorite for its “porch-side surprises as costumed crowds hunt for candy.”
Fort Lauderdale’s Victoria Park neighborhood is “a tropical haunt,” and you can spot 12-foot skeletons at Coral Gables’ Santa Maria Street.
Although St. Petersburg’s Historic Old Northeast neighborhood is not on Reese’s list, more than 4,000 trick-or-treaters stop by to tour some of the most elaborate home displays.
