Oasis defeated Ida Baker 28-16 in the third edition of the Backyard Brawl as the Sharks improved to 6-1 on the season.
CAPE CORAL, Fla. —
The Oasis Sharks defeated the Ida Baker Bulldogs by a score of 28-16 to win the third edition of the Backyard Brawl.
Things went Oasis’ way at the start as an opening snap fumble resulted in a Sharks touchdown, but the Bulldogs were able to settle in and keep the game within reach.
However, Oasis was able to generate some offense late in the first half and didn’t look back as they scored 20 more points to ultimately take home the win.
After defeating the Bulldogs, the Sharks are now 6-1 on the season, putting them one win away from their best record in program history (7-2 in 2024). They will look to accomplish that when they host Gateway next Friday at 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, Ida Baker will look to get back over .500 when they host Palmetto Ridge next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
