October 17, 2026 – The City of St. Petersburg is currently accepting applications for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Communities in Action Mini-Grant Program. According to a prepared statement, the initiative will support local small businesses, nonprofit organizations and civic groups and allow them to “host healing and wellness-focused events that honor Dr. King’s legacy of service and resilience.” The application period closes Oct. 28.
