CLEARWATER, Fla. – Construction Corps, a veteran-owned, family-led design-build general contractor headquartered in Clearwater, has been named an honoree of the 16th Annual GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch Awards, a statewide program recognizing outstanding second-stage companies that demonstrate growth, innovation, leadership and economic impact across Florida. The awards are presented by title sponsors Nperspective CFO & Strategic Services and Holland & Knight.

Construction Corps is one of roughly 50 honorees chosen from nearly 500 companies nominated statewide this year. The company was nominated by Stephanie Scalos.

“We built this company on the way veterans serve: discipline, accountability, and finishing the mission,” said Matt Thompson, founder and CEO. “Our crews, our office staff, and our clients earned this.”

Founded in 2022, Construction Corps serves residential, commercial, and government clients across Pinellas and the Tampa Bay area. After Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the team volunteered demolition, construction, and mold remediation help across the community and loaned drying equipment to families in need.

Honorees will be celebrated at GrowFL’s CEO Summit and Awards Gala, February 24-26, 2027, in Orlando.
