Man in stable condition after Northside shooting, suspect detained

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says that the victim was transported to a local hospital, where they are in stable condition.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is in stable condition after a shooting on Jacksonville’s Northside, the sheriff’s office confirmed Friday afternoon.

JSO says that a little after noon on Friday, Oct. 16, officers responded to a reported person shot in the 14000 block of Summer Breeze Drive.

Upon arrival, a man was found with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition.

JSO also confirmed that a person of interest had been detained at the scene.

While believing this to be an isolated incident, JSO says that this incident may be domestic-related.
