5. A+ Teacher recognized for giving her all in the classroom
Sharmae Lamar has been a teacher in Pinellas County for seven years. She says she started her career as a substitute and worked her way up. Her mom inspired her to pursue a career in education.

Your Notes for Tonight and Tomorrow

PINELLAS TRAFFIC ALERT | Access to County Road 39 from southbound US 19 will be closed tonight. The road is expected to reopen before Friday, Nov. 14 at 3 p.m., weather permitting. During this closure, motorists will have to detour around the work zone using Curlew Road and Belcher Road to access CR 39. This temporary road closure is part of the ongoing improvements to US 19 from SR 580 to the north of CR 95 in Pinellas County.

LIGHTNING LATEST | The Tampa Bay Lightning, winners of seven of their last eight games, are enjoying a second straight night off before they return to the ice tomorrow night against the New York Rangers at Benchmark International Arena. The Bolts will enter the matchup with a record of 8-5-2, while New York is 8-7-2. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
