Trick-or-treating, watching scary movies and going to a haunted house are all pretty great plans for Halloween, but how about going through a spooky car wash? If you’re up for something different but just as creepy this October, House of Horror is partnering with El Car Wash for a one-night “Tunnel of Terror” experience.

While you’d normally enter the car wash to give your vehicle a good clean, the tunnel this time around will glow red while a live DJ plays spooky music and scare actors bring the frights. The carnival’s resident villain, Howie, will wait for every car that braves through.

“This season we wanted to bring fear to the neighborhood, and a car wash tunnel at night is about as trapped as you can get,” said Tony Albelo, President of Loud And Live. “El Car Wash gave us the tunnel, the red lights, and the music. Howie is bringing the rest.”

Taking place Wednesday, October 21, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the 6695 W. Flagler Street location, drivers and passengers bracing for the Tunnel of Terror will leave with more than just a spotless ride. Characters will surprise each vehicle with two free tickets to House of Horror at Tropical Park, while supplies last.

This unique takeover celebrates the haunted carnival’s 25th anniversary season, which features five haunted houses, scare zones, weekly themed nights and unlimited rides with admission at its new location through November 1. Standard car wash pricing applies.
