Pleasant weather continues as Invest 93L stirs up rough seas this week

  • October 20, 2026

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is in for another mostly dry day with cooler-than-normal temperatures and a refreshing northeast breeze. Highs will reach the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.

The biggest concern remains at the beach. Swells associated with Invest 93L in the western Atlantic are contributing to rough surf and a high risk of life-threatening rip currents.

Tuesday

Drier air will keep most of Central Florida rain-free on Tuesday. Northeast winds will ease slightly, making for pleasant conditions away from the coast. Temperatures will dip Tuesday night, with some inland areas turning cooler.

At the beaches, rough surf and dangerous rip currents will persist even under mostly sunny skies. Stay out of the water and follow local beach warnings.

Wednesday & Thursday

A steady northeast breeze continues, with a few coastal showers possible Wednesday as moisture moves in from the Atlantic. Rainfall should be light, and most areas will stay dry Thursday as drier air returns.

Highs will hold in the upper 70s to low 80s. Areas north of I-4 could dip into the upper 50s at night, especially Thursday night.

Weekend

Northeast winds could ramp up Friday and reach 20 to 30 mph Saturday and Sunday, especially near the coast. If the forecast holds, Wind Advisories may be needed.

Stronger winds could worsen surf conditions, increasing the risk of rip currents and beach erosion starting Friday.

Coastal showers are also possible late week into the weekend, with the best rain chances south of Cape Canaveral.

Highs will remain in the upper 70s to low 80s.
