St. Thomas University celebrated its 1996 baseball team over the weekend, inducting the squad into the school’s Hall of Fame during homecoming festivities.
A moment of joy: News We Love
The team, which was the first in the university’s history to make it to the NAIA National Championship, was honored on the field during the homecoming football game Saturday. Nathalie, whose husband Eddy was one of the pitchers on the team, shared her thoughts on the event.
“It was so nice for the guys to catch up and for the families. The parents who were there and now children who get to see their dads recognized,” she said.
Nathalie and her family joined Eddy on the field during the ceremony.
“Here is our family — Eddy’s siblings were there as well,” she said.
The weekend also included a special dinner on Friday, prepared entirely by students pursuing culinary arts degrees at the university.
“This is Eddy with his former coaches — Coach Pizz, Coach Mike Mominey, Coach Guille, and Coach Bookie also recognized,” Nathalie said.
The celebration brought together players, coaches, and families to commemorate the team’s historic achievement.
