To the editor:
I am writing to share an announcement regarding the upcoming November 2026 election. My wife, Margarethe Thye-Miville, is running for one of the two open CEPD (Captiva Erosion Prevention District) Commissioner seats. In response to any community members regarding a potential conflict or perception of impropriety if we were to serve on the board simultaneously, I will resign from my position on the board following the election to eliminate any potential concern.
