It seems like everything costs more these days and grocery shopping is right at the top of the list.
The average American grocery bill today is more than 30% higher than it was before the pandemic. A $200 basket of groceries before the pandemic rings up for $261 today. Food prices are still rising at a 2.9% clip.
Now, here comes Halloween to make us dig even deeper into our pockets.
