Four years after opening its fourth Northeast Florida restaurant, Texas Roadhouse is bringing its signature hand-cut steaks, tender ribs and freshly made-from-scratch dinner rolls served with honey cinnamon butter to another Jacksonville neighborhood.
According to plans filed Oct. 19 with the state’s Department of Business & Professional Regulation, the popular steakhouse chain is planning a restaurant at 9716 San Jose Blvd., on the site of the former Fifth Third Bank building.
The location sits next door to The Home Depot that opened a year ago.
Plans filed Oct. 19 with the city show the Louisville, Kentucky-based chain is planning an 8,403-square-foot restaurant on the 2.19-acre site for an estimated cost of $1.5 million.
The restaurant would be the fourth in the Jacksonville area after making its Northeast Florida debut in 2001 at 550 Blanding Blvd. in Orange Park. Other locations include 4578 Tropea Way at the Town Center Promenade (2017) and 725 Skymarks Drive at River City Marketplace (2022). Texas Roadhouse also opened a restaurant in St. Augustine in 2024, at 410 Outlet Mall Blvd.
