TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Students in a Tallahassee Fire Department construction training course recently moved beyond the classroom to get a firsthand look at how buildings take shape at different stages of construction.
The Construction Documents and Plans Review course helps students understand how construction, fire and life safety codes, and building plans come together during the inspection process. The course is taught by Prevention Lt. Ashley Hancock.
The training is one of five required courses for firefighters or fire prevention personnel working toward becoming a certified Fire Inspector in Florida.
