TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Two new police dogs are getting ready to join the Tallahassee Police Department, and the department is asking the community to help name them before training begins.
TPD said it is welcoming its newest four-legged recruits as they prepare to start training, but the dogs still need names. The department is inviting Tallahassee residents to submit name suggestions and specify which dog they are naming.
The two dogs are identified as K-9: A, a male, and K-9: B, a female. TPD is asking people to include “K-9: A” or “K-9: B” with their suggestion so it’s clear which future K-9 officer the name is for.
