FORT MYERS, Fla. — A routine traffic stop on Pauldo Street turned into a drug bust when Fort Myers police pulled over a driver on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Officers stopped James Huffman, who they discovered had been driving on a license revoked since 2013.

A search of Huffman’s vehicle turned up suspected marijuana, 112 suspected MDMA pills, baggies with suspected controlled substances and a digital scale with residue that tested positive for fentanyl.

Huffman now faces several charges, including drug trafficking, possession of controlled substances with intent to sell, driving on a revoked license and resisting an officer.

The Fort Myers Police Department said the arrest reflects its ongoing commitment to proactive patrols and getting dangerous drugs off the streets.
