The city of Cape Coral’s annual Trunk or Treat & Halloween Movie event is set for 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at City Hall.
Younger children get an advance glance with the event to begin at 5 p.m. for those 5 years and younger so they can better enjoy the trunk displays and candy. Starting at 6 p.m., the event will be open to children of all ages.
Lots of activities are planned, including the movie “Casper” and a spectacular drone show.
“One of this year’s highlights is the drone show, which will light up the sky over City Hall at 8:30 p.m.,” the city said via email. “Families can also enjoy a showing of ‘Casper’ at 7 p.m., along with Halloween Town, a scavenger hunt, train rides, and trick-or-treating throughout the evening.
“Attendees can expect a spectacular display lighting up the sky over City Hall following the movie. The drone show begins at 8:30 p.m., and we encourage families to bring lawn chairs and blankets to settle in and enjoy the evening,” the city said in the email.
Participants are also invited to bring goodie bags for the candy giveaway.
