Multiple Lee County deputies and violent crimes detectives were on the scene of two separate incidents in the Lake Fairways community in North Fort Myers, west of U.S. 41.
The first incident was a house fire on Deer Creek Court. A call came in just before noon, and three fire trucks responded with firefighters working inside and around the home.
Less than an hour later, several Lee County deputies were seen outside a home on Grenelefe Court, just over half a mile away. Crime scene tape was placed around the house.
When asked about the incidents, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office only confirmed that violent crimes detectives were on the scene for the investigation.
Authorities have assured that the scene is contained and there is no threat to the public. WINK News will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
