PALM COAST, Fla. (CBS12) — The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the capture of a fugitive wanted out of Jacksonville.

FCSO says it was asked by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office to assist in apprehending a fugitive that was in their jurisdiction.

The fugitive — Forrest Singleton, 48 — was wanted out of Jacksonville for lewd or lascivious molestation and was believed to be in Palm Coast.

Units tracked Singleton to a residence on Princess Ruth Lane, and he was taken into custody without incident. He was brought to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held on $150,003 bond, according to FCSO.

“This guy apparently did some heinous things up in Jacksonville and thought he could hide out in Flagler County. Of course, he was wrong, and now he’s in the Green Roof Inn,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “If you think crossing county lines is enough to keep you from facing justice, think again.”
