A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a car on Central Florida Parkway east of South John Young Parkway early Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist was riding a 2023 Yamaha MT-03 eastbound on Central Florida Parkway ahead of a 2013 Ford Mustang at 4:31 a.m. when the crash occurred, according to the report.
The driver of the Mustang was a 23-year-old Orlando man who was traveling eastbound in the inside lane when the driver failed to avoid the motorcycle ahead.
The front of the Mustang struck the rear of the Yamaha, the report said.
The motorcycle rider, who was from Scottsbluff, Nebraska, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Mustang driver was not injured and remained at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
