Unable to move, she needed help from the agency’s Agricultural Unit and Marine Unit.Thick mangroves, deep mud and a rising tide made reaching the animal difficult, while fading daylight added to the challenge. After an eight-hour operation, deputies managed to pull Veronica to safety.
