WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) – Florida Highway Patrol officials say a 10 year old bicyclist was critically hurt after being hit on a sidewalk in Walton County, Florida, Saturday morning.
Highway patrol officials say a vehicle was leaving a parking lot at 3906 Highway 98 West southbound and the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on the sidewalk when the cyclist entered the path of the vehicle.
Officials say the bicyclist received serious injuries and he is listed in critical condition.
Authorities say the accident happened at 8:00 a. m.
FHP identifies the bicyclist only as 10 years old from Santa Rosa Beach.
