ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA)— Games 3 and 4 of the World Series are coming to St. Petersburg Monday and Tuesday, and Police Chief Anthony Holloway tells 8 On Your Side it’s going to be an all-hands-on-deck effort.

“We’re going to have officers inside, outside, we’re going to have officers undercover, we’re going to have drones up to make sure we can get our traffic flow in and out,” Holloway said.

According to Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, 80,000 to 120,000 people are expected to be in the area for the games.

Holloway said that over 100 officers will be working during the games.

“Because not only are they covering the Trop, we still have to answer calls for service throughout the city,” said Holloway.

Brett Ciskowski of St. Petersburg Fire Rescue said they’ll also be inspecting Tropicana Field to ensure it’s World Series-ready.

“We scale up based on the size of the crowd. So, interior, we have our fire inspectors that go through the facility, make sure that the building is safe for fans to attend,” Ciskowski said.

Holloway said they even have preparations in place once the Rays get a few wins under their belt in the series.

“We will gear up after the Rays have won their third game, because we know that’s when the celebration could possibly start, so we’ll be gearing up for everything that could be possible,” Holloway said.
