ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A traveling exhibit filled with 3.5 million redacted Jeffrey Epstein files from the Department of Justice was in Tampa Bay on Thursday.

Outside the truck, there’s a picture of President Trump alongside a picture of the disgraced financier.

During a stop in St. Petersburg, Epstein survivor Jena-Lisa Jones also pushed to reform Florida’s Statute of Limitations laws involving sex assault victims.

“My abuse happened when I was 14 years old. By 19, they determined by 19 years old I should have said something,” Jones said.

She stood alongside Sharlene Rochard, who was also an Epstein abuse survivor.

“I was abused here in Florida, and when I went to my lawyers and told them what had happened, they said, ‘Florida is a different kind of place’,” Rochard said.

President Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and has also worked to distance himself from Epstein.

On Wednesday night, during a rally in Ohio, a protestor interrupted Trump’s speech. The person was upset over the handling of the Epstein files. Trump made remarks after the protester was removed.

“I threw Jeffrey Epstein the hell out of Mar-a-Lago,” Trump said. “I was the one totally exonerated from him,” Trump said.

Three survivors see it in a different way. They are leaning on Democrats to force the Trump Administration and the courts to release more records.

Marina Lacerda is leaning on people like Democratic congressional nominee Leela Gray to help with more transparency.

“Go out there and vote because this is the kind of people that we need running and saving our future,” Lacerda said.

Gray privately spoke to survivors and then toured the bookmobile with them.

“As moms, as Americans, as a community, we need to do better. We can start right here by releasing all the files,” Gray said.

Gray is working to unseat Rep. Anna Paulina Luna in U.S. House District 13. Luna defended her efforts in a recent 8 On Your Side interview involving the Epstein files, starting in 2025.

“In three separate instances, in committee, I was actually only one of two Republicans that voted with Democrats to force the release of the files. I have my receipts,” Luna said.

As of Thursday, registered Democrats continue to lead in the early voter turnout race in Pinellas County. The county has more registered Republicans than Democrats.

Here’s a schedule for the future stops ahead of Election Day.
