A man was arrested and is facing federal charges after being accused of robbing two banks in downtown Miami just three days apart, according to court documents.

Oscar Elliot Bryant is charged with bank robbery in connection with incidents that occurred on Oct. 23 and Oct. 26, 2026. Authorities say Bryant obtained money from bank employees through intimidation in both cases.

According to the affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint, the first robbery took place on Oct. 23 at First American Bank, located at 79 E. Flagler Street in downtown Miami.

Authorities allege Bryant took money from an employee through intimidation and in the presence of other bank workers.

Three days later, on Oct. 26, a second robbery allegedly occurred, this time at a Regions Bank branch located at 265 SE 1st Street, also in Miami.

Images provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) show a person dressed in black inside the bank and a note that reads: “You can make it hard or easy. All I want is 50’s and 100’s. I have a gun under my jacket”.

Authorities determined there is probable cause to charge Bryant for both robberies under the federal law that penalizes robberies of banking institutions. The amount allegedly stolen was not specified.
