There’s still time to earn recognition as a Top Workplace in South Florida.

This is the 13th year the Sun Sentinel will shine a spotlight on outstanding workplaces in the region, as viewed by workers. Any organization with 35 or more employees in the region is eligible to seek a Top Workplaces award. Companies will be honored in spring 2027.

The nomination deadline has been extended to Dec. 4. Anyone can submit a nomination. Participating employers can be public, private, nonprofit, a school, or even a government agency. To nominate an employer or for more information on the awards, just go to SunSentinel.com/nominate  or call 954-666-0786.

There is no cost to participate. To qualify as a South Florida Top Workplace, employees evaluate their workplace using a 26-question survey that takes just a few minutes to complete. Companies will be surveyed through mid-January.

Energage, the Pennsylvania-based research partner for the project, conducts Top Workplaces surveys for media in 70 markets nationwide and surveyed more than 2 million employees at more than 8,000 organizations in the past year.

For the 2026 awards, 170 South Florida employers earned recognition as Top Workplaces.

The top South Florida finishers in each of the three categories in 2026 were:

Large category (400+ employees):

The Biltmore Hotel, the iconic 271-room luxury hotel in Coral Gables, has nearly 700 full- and part-time employees who serve guests from around the world. More than 400 events occur annually at the hotel, which opened in 1926, and the operators boast that the Biltmore manages a balancing act of maintaining its historic stature while keeping pace with guests’ changing demands.

Midsize category (125-399 employees):

Voloridge Investment Management, founded in 2009, is located in Jupiter. The hedge fund employs close to 170 highly skilled, well-paid financial and technology professionals who help the firm manage billions in assets for institutional investors. It captured the top honor in the midsize category for the second consecutive year.

Small category (Fewer than 125 employees):

The Miami-based HR solultions provider RegisHR grabbed the top spot in the small category. The company works closely with thousands of other companies, whether they’re providing workplace safety demonstrations, training employees, or troubleshooting workers’ compensation claims. And RegisHR says its 97% client retention rate can be directly connected to its high employee retention rate. The family-founded business opened in 2008.
