TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – As early voting wrapped up in Leon County, one Tallahassee organization hosted a final push to encourage residents to vote.
Tallahassee ALERT partnered with the Frenchtown Neighborhood Improvement Association to host an event called “The Turnout.”
Organizers said the event was designed to promote voter participation and remind residents of the importance of making their voices heard.

“This is our civic duty, but it’s also a privilege and right that people fought and died for us to have, so we’re celebrating that at this event and getting people turned out, said Tallahassee ALERT Chairman Bruce Strouble.
Strouble also said the event gave more people an opportunity to learn about the resource center in Frenchtown and the services it offers the community.
