ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. —
St. Lucie Public Schools announced that students will be dismissed one hour earlier than usual today, and all after-school activities, including ROAR Academy Aftercare, are canceled due to weather-related concerns.
Families who need to pick up their children early may continue to do so, and all student absences for today will be excused.
“As we work through today’s weather-related changes, please be patient with our staff and with the dismissal process,” the district said in a statement. “We are adjusting to changing circumstances while keeping student safety at the forefront, and dismissal may take a little longer than usual. Your patience, flexibility, and understanding are greatly appreciated.”
The district urged families to monitor communications for any additional updates. “Thank you for your continued support and cooperation,” the statement said.
