Trader Joe’s third Orlando-area location will open Thursday in the Waterford Lakes area in east Orlando, the company announced Monday.

The new 9,264-square-foot store is located at 1444 N. Alafaya Trail. The location is in large shopping complex that includes a Hobby Lobby and a Floor & Decor, so parking should be easier than at the area’s first Trader Joe’s store in Winter Park.

The company said the new store’s grand opening celebration will start at 8 a.m. with samples and reusable bag giveaway. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

“In addition, through the company’s longstanding Neighborhood Shares Program, the new Orlando Trader Joe’s will donate 100% of products that go unsold but remain fit to enjoy to a range of non-profit, community-based organizations, seven days a week,” the company said.

The boutique grocer is on an expansion campaign across Central Florida. In late October, the Trader Joe’s announced another new Orlando location planned in the Colonial Marketplace shopping center just west of Orlando Fashion Square Mall.

Trader Joe’s Winter Park store was the first in Central Florida and opened with great fanfare in June 2014. A second Orlando location on Sand Lake Road in the Dr. Phillips area opened in 2015..
