Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy is known for his straightforward approach, both with his players and when speaking to the media. After leading the team to its first World Series title, the two-time defending National League Manager of the Year is enjoying the moment and speaking freely. Brewers fans have come to expect this kind of behavior from the sharp-witted and usually easygoing 67-year-old manager. Murphy has pulled food from his pocket, and always traded jokes with reporters. He clearly enjoys having fun, provided his team continues to play the game the right way.
The Brewers dominated the 2026 campaign, winning a franchise-record 103 games, the most in MLB, then carrying that momentum into the postseason with 11 victories in 13 games. Milwaukee found ways to win even when its offense lacked power or its starters struggled, coming through with timely run production and strong relief pitching.

The club remained focused and relentless throughout its championship run, reflecting the standard Murphy established in the clubhouse.
After the Los Angeles Dodgers swept Milwaukee in the 2025 NL Championship Series, Murphy made the adjustments needed to guide the Brewers through a championship season. Even while celebrating the World Series victory, with plenty of drinks adding to the festivities, the New York native remained in his element. He knew exactly how to keep the crowd entertained and the laughter going.
