TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Florida Highway Patrol is kicking off the season of giving by collecting non-perishable food to support families across the state.
Through Nov. 30, FHP is teaming up with local organizations to collect non-perishable goods.
Donations may be dropped off at any local FHP location, including FHP’s general headquarters in Tallahassee on Apalachee Parkway.
According to a press release, FHP is looking for canned goods, dried goods and other non-perishable food items.
FHP Executive Director Dave Kerner said in the press release that service is at the heart of their operations.
“The ‘Stuff the Charger’ food drive is another way we can stand with our communities and support families who need a little extra help this season, especially following Hurricane Isaias,” Kerner said. “We encourage Floridians to join us in making a meaningful impact.”
