INDIAN ROCKS BEACH — Pinellas County sheriff’s detectives arrested an Indian Rocks Beach man Nov. 5 on charges of possessing child pornography, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Gary J. Ross, 57, was taken into custody and booked into the Pinellas County Jail on 21 counts of possession of child pornography, deputies said.
The investigation began after detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit received information that child pornography was being accessed and shared online, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Detectives identified Ross as a suspect through investigative techniques.
The images depicted children between 2 and 14 years old, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing, deputies said.
