KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Kissimmee Vice Mayor Angela Eady will now serve as the city’s mayor after Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order suspending Mayor Jackie Espinosa following her recent arrest.
Eady has served as a city commissioner since 2022.
According to the executive order, Espinosa will not be able to perform any official duties or receive pay during the suspension.
Espinosa was arrested Oct. 21 following a criminal investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
