As the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office continues to mourn a deputy who was killed last week in the line of duty, the department announced a way you can support the family of Devin Jaramillo.
The Police Officer Assistance Trust is handling monetary donations for Jaramillo’s family. The organization said every penny will go directly to his loved ones.

Jaramillo, 27, a deputy with MDSO’s Kendall district, was shot and killed Friday by a suspect during a traffic stop.
Amid a physical confrontation, the 21-year-old suspect grabbed the deputy’s own gun and shot him several times.
