A man is behind bars after being accused of multiple incidents in October and November, including breaking into residences, exposing himself, and attempting to sexually assault a sleeping victim.

Investigators from the Fort Pierce Police Department (FPPD) said they have been investigating the incidents at 110 S. Ocean Drive for months. Officers say multiple of the incidents involved burglaries, thefts and acts of sexual misconduct.

FPPD announced the arrest of Sedrick Boston, 19, on Thursday. He is booked on felony counts that include attempted sexual assault with a weapon, burglary, grand theft, indecent exposure and dealing in stolen property.

Surveillance videos shared by FPPD show the suspect walking through what appears to be an apartment complex with his private area exposed and touching himself. Another video shows him loitering through the apartment complex.

The first incident:

On October 16, at around 1:50 a.m., officers say they responded to a 911 call at 110 South Ocean Boulevard regarding a burglary. The police department’s investigation found that a slender man entered an occupied room in through the balcony and attempted to sexually assault a sleeping victim.

Police say the victim physically resisted, prompting the suspect, Boston, to flee the scene — but not before stealing the victim’s firearm and an undisclosed amount of money.

The second incident:

Two days later, on October 18, another 911 call was made, prompting Fort Pierce police to respond to the same location. FPPD says a woman saw Boston exposing himself and engaging in lewd acts while looking at her through the rear window of her vehicle.

Police say the victim immediately yelled and blew her horn, prompting the suspect to flee.

The third incident:

The next incident didn’t occur again until November 5. Police say an employee at the South Ocean Drive residence encountered Boston, who was allegedly engaging in sexual misconduct in a public area. Police say that the employee immediately notified other staff members and contacted law enforcement.

The fourth incident:

The fourth incident occurred the next day, on November 6, FPPD says. Officers say they responded to 110 South Ocean Boulevard after receiving a report of a burglary in one of the rooms.

The victims told police they had left their room earlier in the evening and returned before 1 a.m., after which they had fallen asleep. After waking up in the morning the victims discovered that their cash and a firearm had been stolen.

Police say there were no signs of forced entry.

Following an investigation, deputies were able to locate and arrest Boston.
