Just in time for holiday travel, Miami drivers are paying a bit more at the pump. The average price of a gallon of regular in the Magic City rose 8.8 cents in the last week, now sitting at $2.96 as the work week begins.
That’s slightly higher than a month ago, but still 16.6 cents lower than this time last year.
According to GasBuddy, the cheapest station in Miami on Sunday was offering regular at $2.63, while both stations on Key Biscayne were among the highest in the County at $4.49 per gallon.
Nationally, the price of regular gasoline dipped 0.4 cents, averaging $3.03.
“With oil prices mostly stable near the $60-per-barrel level, we’ve seen the national average move very little over the last few weeks,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy. “Roughly half of all states saw prices rise in the last week, while the other half saw prices fall.”
