Starting February 11, 2026, Allegiant Air will increase its direct flights from Syracuse Hancock International Airport to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) announced on Monday (November 17) that the ultra-low-cost carrier will operate four flights weekly, doubling the current frequency of two flights per week.

SRAA Executive Director Jason Terreri emphasized the importance of this expansion, stating, “South Florida is our top underserved market for Central New York travelers.” This move aims to make it easier for travelers to access the popular South Florida destination.

Allegiant Air currently offers nonstop service from Syracuse to seven destinations, including Myrtle Beach, Nashville, Orlando, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, and St. Petersburg, in addition to Fort Lauderdale.

Tickets for the increased flights will be available for purchase starting Tuesday (November 18) on Allegiant Air’s website.

This expansion reflects ongoing efforts to enhance travel options for Central New York residents, providing more convenient access to leisure destinations.
