PORT ST. LUCIE – A Lake City, Michigan couple was arrested on Nov. 14 on misdemeanor retail theft charges when they allegedly tried to steal $574.14 worth of collector trading cards, according to Port St. Lucie Police reports.

Heather Anne Walden, 30, and Steven Michael Walden, 23, had left their RV in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in the 1600 block of Northwest St. Lucie West Boulevard, Port St. Lucie at about 7 p.m., Nov. 14.

They were arrested when they tried to leave the store with Marvel’s Spider Man Collector Omega Booster cards, according to police reports.

After running a criminal history check on the duo, it was learned they both have active, but non-extraditable warrants out of Michigan for shoplifting and fraud, according to police reports.

The couple was taken to St. Lucie County Jail, where Steven Walden was released on a $10,000 bond on Nov. 15 and Heather Walden was released on Nov. 16, also on a $10,000 bond, according to jail records

Two cats in the RV were taken to St. Lucie County Animal Care & Control, police said.
