A former Vice President is headed to South Florida to promote a memoir, and a candidate for Governor is using the occasion to delineate differences between the two major parties.

Kamala Harris is in Miami to promote “107 Days,” which she frames as her “candid, personal account of the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.”

But according to the campaign of Byron Donalds, Harris’ speaking engagement Thursday night at the Ziff Ballet Opera House offers an opportunity to remind voters of what they rejected last November.

“Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s policies devastated families with crushing inflation, open borders, and a radical agenda that weakened our country,” said Ryan Smith, Chief Strategist for the Byron Donalds for Governor Campaign.

Smith goes on to link Harris to the two leading Democratic candidates for Governor — the Mayor of Orange County and a former Republican Congressman from St. Petersburg — before delineating the alternative Donalds offers.

“Jerry Demings and David Jolly are fighting to bear the torch for the Democrats and their radical policies in Florida. Kamala Harris and Florida Democrats are for they/them. Byron Donalds is for you! As Governor, Byron Donalds will fight for common-sense policies to make life more affordable for every Floridian.”

Donalds is so far the first of the major Republican candidates for Governor to attack Harris.

But he probably won’t be the last.
