I’m ticked off that I’m so old all my sentences begin with “Years ago …”
I take issue with the Sentinel Editorial Board stand on standard time.  I have always advocated for daylight saving time (DST) to be around. Yes, it’s a little darker in the morning, but it gives us so much more daylight at the end of the day. You have that little extra daylight when you could be doing something besides using electricity to put the lights on early. You might have time for that walk or run in time to prevent obesity or a stroke. I have a hard time believing that a study showed strokes and obesity were because of DST and wonder who funded the study. Children would actually come home from school to light and be able to play outside a little longer, a nice break from being in school and coming home to darkness again.  When we went back to standard time this year, I had the worst time ever, perhaps because of all the chaos in our country. It was just one more thing that added darkness to our lives.  Give us a little more light! I would absolutely vote for DST year-round in Florida.
I, too, am ticked off at the move of “Meet the Press” plus the news breaks the local NBC station puts in “NBC News Daily.” You just had a full hour of news. Their stories that you preempt are much more interesting than your same old same news updates. Please, just stop with all the news.
EDC should be held in a field in the middle of nowhere, not downtown Orlando. Three nights in a row of constant, loud, obnoxious noise is very disrespectful to nearby residents.
