Florida State improved to 2-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a 34-14 win over visiting Virginia Tech on Saturday night. Tommy Castellanos hooked up with Duce Robinson for a 50-yard touchdown with 3:11 in the first half to give the Seminoles a 10-7 lead before they pulled away with a strong second half. Castallanos was 12-of-24 for 189 yards and a touchdown while scoring twice on the ground as well. Robinson finished with six catches for 134 yards while the defense forced two turnovers.

NC State fell into a 24-0 halftime hole on Saturday afternoon at then-No. 15 Miami en route to a 41-7 loss that dropped it to 2-4 in the ACC race. CJ Bailey prevented the shutout with a 10-yard touchdown run with 2:18 to go in the game, but finished 17-of-30 for 120 yards and two interceptions while running for 11 yards on six attempts. The Wolfpack was held to 143 total yards while allowing 581.

The Seminoles lead the all-time series 27-16, but NC State has won the last three meetings and five of the last six dating back to 2017. The last time they played, the Wolfpack took a 19-17 victory at home on Oct. 8, 2022.
