G Jalen Brunson had a game-high 28 points and was 1 of 5 Knicks to score in double digits. The Knicks outscored the Mavericks in the paint by 14 points.

Knicks at Magic picks and predictionsPrediction

Knicks 119, Magic 114

LEAN KNICKS (-102).

New York’s big advantage is on offensive, as the Knicks rank in the top 7 in scoring offense and top 3 in offensive rating, while the Magic rank in the bottom 15 in both. The Magic have the defensive advantage, but the Knicks’ offense should still find success against Orlando’s defense. Finally, the Magic will struggle to find consistent offense down the stretch in a close game without Banchero.

This is a lean because the Magic are 4-1 since Banchero’s injury, including the Nov. 12 meeting.

PASS.

Backing the Knicks here doesn’t make much sense unless you expect this to be a 1-point game. Pass here and bet the moneyline and/or total instead.

BET OVER 230.5 (-110).

The Knicks put up over 120 points per game, and while the Magic aren’t the best offense, look for Wagner to have a great game here, as Anunoby, his likely matchup, is out. When Wagner is flowing, it opens up scoring lanes for Bane as well. The duo’s scoring combined with New York’s offense makes the Over nearly a lock here.

The Over has hit in 3 of Orlando’s last 4 games and is 5-2 in New York’s last 7. The Over also hit in the last matchup between these squads.
